About Locations
Locations represent the physical sites where your franchise operates or plans to operate. You can track everything from lease details and construction timelines to vendor assignments and performance metrics, all in one place.
Location statuses
Every location has a status that reflects where it is in its lifecycle:
- Planned: a site under consideration or in early stages
- Developing: construction or buildout is underway
- Open: actively operating
- Inactive: temporarily not operating
- Closed: permanently closed
You can update the status of one or multiple locations at a time using the bulk status action in the locations table.

Adding a location manually
- Navigate to Operations → Locations.
- Click the Add Location button.
- Fill in the location details: name, address, city, state, zip code, and any other relevant fields.
- Assign the location to a territory and franchisee organization if applicable.
- Save the location.
Each location stores detailed information including lease terms, construction dates, insurance details, business hours, and contact information for key parties like the architect, construction firm, and property manager.

Discovering locations with Google Places
You can search for existing franchise locations using Google Places instead of entering them one by one.

- The platform searches Google Places using your brand name and returns matching results with address, phone number, business hours, and photos.
- You can filter by country or narrow results by proximity to a specific point.
- Select the locations you want to import, then confirm. The platform creates location records and downloads any available photos automatically.

Favoriting locations
You can favorite locations to keep quick access to the ones you work with most. Click the favorite icon on any location to add it to your favorites. Each agent manages their own favorites list independently.
Assigning vendors and franchisees
Vendors: Open a location and assign vendors directly from the location detail view. You can link multiple vendors to a single location.

Franchisee organizations: You can assign a franchisee organization to one or more locations. Use the bulk action in the locations table to assign the same franchisee organization to multiple locations at once.

Social and Connections (some accounts)
On accounts with social posting enabled, each location's detail view also includes Social and Connections tabs. Social shows the post sets created for that location, and Connections manages the social accounts connected to it.
Map view
The locations table includes a map view powered by Mapbox. Locations with latitude and longitude coordinates appear as pins on the map, giving you a geographic overview of your franchise network.
