Get Your Leads In

This is the stage where your account stops being empty and starts holding real people.

You have your team and brand set up, and now you bring in the contacts you already have and get them organized so the rest of the funnel has something to work with.

Everything below starts at Marketing → Audiences, which opens on the Prospects tab: your list of marketing contacts, each with a segment, an email, and a verification status.

What to do

  1. General Definitions: learn what prospect, lead, segment, and audience actually mean before you move contacts around.

  2. How to Import Audiences: bring your existing contacts in from a CSV, into your prospect list or straight into your sales leads.

  3. How to Filter, Sort, and Search Your Contacts: narrow a large list down to the subset you want to work with or export.

  4. How to Export Contacts: pull your prospects or leads back out as a CSV for reporting, backup, or outside tools.

  5. Best Practices: Prospect vs. Lead: decide which list a contact belongs in so your pipeline and workflows stay accurate.

  6. Prospect to Lead Flow: see how someone moves from a marketing prospect to a working sales lead, automatically or by hand.

Importing into your prospect list is quiet. No sequences fire, nobody gets auto-assigned to a rep, and imported contacts sit in your marketing audience until you act.

Importing straight into sales leads works differently. Nobody gets auto-assigned there either, but those contacts become real leads right away, and any workflow that triggers on a new lead runs for them too.

Once your contacts are in and sorted, you are ready to start reaching them.

Next up: Reach Out and Nurture, where you warm up your audience with email and workflows.
