What Is an Organization?

An organization is the top-level container in Franchise Systems Ai (FS Ai). It represents the parent entity - typically a franchise group or corporate office - that owns and manages one or more franchise brands.

What an organization holds

Every organization includes:

• Brands: one or more franchise brands, each operating independently with its own data and configuration.
• Team members: agents (users) are invited to an organization and gain access to the brands within it.
• Billing: subscription management, payment methods, and invoicing are handled at the organization level.
• Settings: organization-wide preferences such as name, logo, timezone, and security policies (including two-factor authentication requirements).

Access levels

When a team member joins an organization, they are assigned one of two access levels:

• Admin: can manage organization settings, invite and remove members, configure billing, and link or unlink brands.
• Member: can access the brands they have been granted permissions for, but cannot change organization-level settings.

An organization admin can also designate specific members as billing admins, giving them access to manage subscriptions and payment methods.

How you join an organization

There are two ways to become part of an organization:

1. Create one: during onboarding, you set up a new organization as part of the getting started wizard.
2. Join with an invite code: an organization admin sends you an invite. You enter the code from the Join Organization option in your profile menu (click your profile picture at the bottom of the sidebar) or from your account settings.

Where to find it

You can view and manage your organization by clicking your profile picture at the bottom of the sidebar, selecting Settings, and going to the Details page under Organization. This is where you see the organization name, linked brands, and current team members. Your associated organizations also appear on the Organizations tab of your Profile settings.
